Autumn in season - Asian Greens

In season now and tasty as ever are Asian Greens!

There are so many delicious things to make with fresh picked Asian Greens, we've put together a few ideas for you;

Our favourite is this recipe below;

Stir-Fried Asian Greens

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Servings: Makes 2-4 serves
Ingredients
  • Olive Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic Cloves - 2, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1-2 tbsp, minced
  • Asian Greens, 6 cups
  • Oyster Sauce - 1 1/2 tbsp (can substitute with soy sauce for vegetarian option)
  • Vegetable Stock - 1/2 cup
  • Corn Starch - 1 tbsp, dissolved in water
  • Sesame Seeds (optional garnish)
Method
  1. Over high heat, add oil to a pan
  2. Saute garlic and ginger for about a minute, until fragrant
  3. Add greens and toss to coat evenly with oil, garlic and ginger
  4. Stir in the oyster sauce (or soy sauce) and vegetable stock, and cook for 2-3 minutes
  5. Stir in the corn starch mixture to thicken the sauce
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve immediately over steamed rice as a main or side dish.
